This portion of the ASCAZ website is dedicated to profiling foundation dogs of the past who were either fixtures at local ASCAZ shows, or who had significant impact on the "Old Arizona" bloodlines. It is my hope that many people will also find these wonderful dogs in their own pedigrees!

All photographs in this archive are copyrighted by their makers/owners.

Please contact me if you have additions or corrections to the information listed in these pages, or if you have an anecdote about one of these dogs you'd like to contribute!

If you enjoy this collection, please take some time to go visit Barbara Applegate's website, The Australian Shepherd: History in Pictures. She has some great historical photos of Aussies from the ASCA archives and from private collections. Many of the ASCA photos from the late 1950s feature dogs owned by some of ASCA's founding members, many of whom lived in Tucson!
